New Paintings, New Challenges!

I remembered a set of three paintings that I did a while back for my apartment, but took down when I changed the decor. They are now on sale at my Etsy site!

I also FINALLY finished up Kenji's billiards painting

billiards1

I am so happy with the way it turned out, I'm really proud of it. The thing is HUGE and was really difficult to work on in our small space; but, I did finish it and I think it looks great! Kenji was really happy with it as well, and I can't wait to see it in his billiards room.

Here's another diary comic for your enjoyment!

I hope that everyone has a great weekend! Keep in touch.

Diary Comic and Party at Harmon's

There's been so much going on in Dtown lately, and even with the Mr and I being sick this past week, we had a blast over the weekend; our really great, old friend, HDub had a house warming party at his FIRST EVER house! It's such a cute house, and we had the best time. There's a deck with a hot tub and everything, and while I'm not usually the most aquatic of people, I eventually broke down and hopped in with the rest of the ladies!

Harmon's housewarming, post hot tub

No one stayed in the hot tub too long; it was hot enough outside already without sitting in 104 degree water! All in all, it was a great day, filled with friends, mosquitos, drinks, heat, and bbq. No too shabby.

I have recently re-discovered a diary comic that I stopped working on about a year ago. Upon second viewing, it's not quite as bad as I had thought it was, so I'm thinking that I'll share one a week on the blog, which will hopefully encourage me to continue making new ones. I'm going to start with the old ones (dating back to late 2007!) and hopefully by the time I get caught up to the present I'll have a buffer.

My chemistry class from hell has finally ended, and although I do have to sink a lot of time into my new online biology class, I have a lot more free time, so hopefully I'll have a few more paintings out this week!

Keep in touch, and have a happy Monday!

Playin' Hooky

So, I am totally playing hooky from school today. I had way too much to do, so I skipped out on my chemistry lab. I didn't care too much to spend four hours making and classifying gas reactions.

The husband and I finally decided on a favorite photo to send to the families.

Whadya think? I think the grandparents will love it. :) A few more of my favorites...

I was happily able to go to my cousin's baby shower a few weeks ago. She was absolutely glowing and got a bunch of really cute baby stuff. Her daughter is due on July 31 (Harry Potter's birthday!)...hoorah for summer babies!

Beautifully Preggers Cousin

We wait with baited breath for her daughter's arrival!

I am currently working on a HUGH piece for a friend's billiards room. It is by far the most ambitious work that I have tackled thus far, and I am very anxious about making sure it's perfect. Hopefully I'll have made a lot more progress on it by next week...I'm getting really backed up, and I need to start getting on a regular productivity schedule.

If you haven't checked it out yet, here's a link to my Facebook group. If you join, you'll get updates on showings and store specials!

Keep in touch, everyone, and don't forget to check the store and the site for new pieces!

I Am Currently Making Chicken Pot Pie and It Is Awesome

So, I thought I'd get a little blog in as I wait for my chicken pot pie to be ready to come out of the oven. I just posted a brand new painting on my shop (http://chellelynn.etsy.com) that is so cute and adorable and just begs to be displayed in someone's home. It's part of my FiftyNifty United States collection, the New Mexico state flower, the yucca flower. Beautiful hanging vine-like flower, very striking. So, go check it out! Also, I've created a facebook group, so you should get on the old social networking site and join!

That's about it for now. Short update, I know. I must take out the chicken pot pie, eat it, and then get to work on some chemistry homework. This class is terrible. I hate it.

Hope everyone has a great evening!
