Blog Feature

I was very excited last night to find a very nice email from a fellow etsy seller letting me know that she had feature my work in her blog, Going Home To Roost! Go check it out, her stuff is really sweet and creative.

I finally got around to continuing the Cross Vine Giggles collection! I got really side tracked with my FireFly vs Lightning Bug series, but I think that I need to do a few more marketable pieces along with my silly cartoons if I want to be able to afford canvases for the next few months. It's up on the etsy as well as the website.

My little sister's high school graduation was weekend after last and was a lot of fun! She was a beautiful graduate and I'm so excited for her to start the next chapter of her life!

Good Lord, It's Hot Outside

Got some paintin's up on ye olde website. www.chellelynnjohnson.com

Husband and I are looking to move at the end of this year, but we're starting our search now since I'll be too busy during the semester. I just looked at my first apartment, and I'm so excited to move! I went up to Addison Circle to check out the Post apartments there, and they look very nice. They showed me a regular two bedroom, but they do have loft style and townhomes, which is more what we're looking for. I'm so excited to continue the search and find our new home! If any one has any suggestions, feel free to share!

Paintings and Pains

I am making considerable progress on my FireFly vs Lightning Bug series. I have three new paintings done and one well on its way. I will be varnishing, taking photos, and posting online tomorrow! I'm excited to be proud of the work I'm doing and enjoying having the time to create to my heart's content. Even now, I get annoyed when I have to put away the paints to go to my four hour shift at the library! It's a wonderful feeling to be able to do what you love to do.

The Mister and I are wanting to take a weekend getaway sometime over the summer and are looking at places we can get to by car from Dallas and still have time to enjoy ourselves, all without having to take time off from work. We are thinking about San Antonio since we didn't really get to do it properly on our honeymoon. Any other suggestions for a quick, inexpensive trip destination no more than seven hours away from Dallas? Or, any thoughts about San Antonio (where to stay, restaurants to try, ets)? When we were last in SA, we had reservations at Le Reve, but weren't able to go because I got sick. Has anyone had experience with this restaurant? I hear it is supposed to be amazing.

Anyway, hope everyone is enjoying their week. Only two more days to go until the weekend!
